On my last visit, I couldn't believe the state of the classrooms, if you can even call them that. In that broken down and dusty room, about 60 students would gather... with 3 or 4 to each desk. I can't imagine teaching in something like that... and to think, I have complained about it being too hot or cold in my classrooms.
The other picture is me with some of the sweetest students from the school. We would sing and laugh for hours. This is one of my favorite pictures.

Those are just some pictures from my last trip... Pretty cool how this all works.

New Post

This is just a test :)

Like I said, just sorting some stuff out.

T- minus two months

So here is my first blog attempt. Thanks for joining me, although I don't leave for another 2 months, I wanted to be sure I had a good grasp on this whole thing before I go halfway across the world.

I want to welcome those of you from Alexandra, Central, and any other schools around the Lindsay area who are going to follow me through this adventure.

I am travelling with Free the Children as a facilitator for groups that have fundraised and committed to school building and water projects throughout rural Kenya. I am not 100% certain of how often I will be able to write... or blog (I guess thats what you call it)... but I am hoping to keep on it as much as I can.

soooo... here we go...

peace out.
